• Reducing Property Taxes

  The lack of state funding for education is placing too high a property tax burden on Pennsylvanians. This is why I have introduced legislation (HB1966) which would eliminate school property tax and find alternative solutions to fund our public education system.

• Preserving Open Space

  Chester County is a treasure worth preserving. We have some of the most beautiful landscapes and the most fertile soil in the nation. As your Representative, I pledge to continue to fight against development that infringes on our open space and I will work to ensure that our beautiful landscape is preserved for generations to come.

• Defending our Environment

  Investing in renewable sources of clean energy and energy conservation are both environmentally and economically responsible. As your Representative, I support initiatives like Growing Greener I & II that clean up our rivers and streams and protect our natural areas and working farms as well as promoting legislation that enhances the Commonwealth's role in promoting alternative energy technologies such as wind power, solar power, hydroelectricity, biomass, and deploying low carbon coal technologies.

• Preserving Our Agricultural Heritage

  Whether preventing sprawl from infringing on our rural lands, or creating laws to protect the Pennsylvania farmer, I have made it my priority to ensure agriculture remains the number one industry in Pennsylvania.  Doing so is vital to our heritage, our farmers, and ultimately, our community since building houses with 2 to 3 school-aged children per home on average only causes our property taxes to rise.

• Promoting Bipartisanship

  We are all tired of the partisan bickering. On many occasions, I went against my party leadership in Harrisburg and voted with the other side of the aisle – not because it was politically expedient to do so, but because I voted with the interests and concerns of my constituents in mind. As a Supervisor in London Grove Township for seven years, I proved that I do what I believe is the right thing to do, regardless of party. I’ve taken that same approach to Harrisburg and I will continue with that approach.
